you. If you have been using dry skin products, I am sure that you know this already. However, have you ever
considered making your own dry skin products? It is not that difficult if you have 'recipe' to follow. Most
home-made dry skin products involve using readily available fruits and oil. Maybe you should give home-made dry
skin products a chance.
Dry Skin Products
Dry skin can be the result of many circumstances. You can get dry skin from a dry atmosphere or climate, from
hormonal changes, from medication, for hereditary reasons, using harsh soap or beauty products or it could be a
reaction to your soap powder.
There are many reasons why you can have dry skin, but there is one thing that is clear, you will have to treat
it, before it gets serious with one of the dry skin products available.
You probably started your dry skin treatment by using moisturizers, maybe you still do use them. In fact there
are two moisturizer. The first class of dry skin products includes products like Vaseline, which seals your skin
off, preserving the moisture that is already in your skin.
The second type of dry skin products draws moisture from the atmosphere and attempts to supply it to your skin.
This is a very effective way of treating dry skin. These products are called humecants and include such ingredients
as urea and glycerine, among many others.
However, there are also home-made dry skin products for dry skin - so-called home remedies. It is quite easy to
create your own dry skin products from items that are not uncommon in a typical kitchen and often these dry skin
products are more effective and certainly purer than their shop-bought equivalents.
If you want to go down this route you should look for home-made dry skin products recipes on the Internet,
however, I can advise you that most of these recipes will contain fruit such as bananas, avocado and papaya and
oils like olive oil.
For example, a very good moisturizer is to puree a handful of strawberries with a little olive oil in order to
produce a moisturizer. You can also make a wonderful moisturizing face mask by pulping a cup of papaya with a
little olive oil and a tablespoonful of natural, plain, unpasteurized yoghurt. Slap it on and leave it there for
five to ten minutes. You will love it!
If you want to try a variation. try using mashed avocado instead. There are so many home-made dry skin products
that you can make yourself for very little cost to replace the store bought creams and lotions.
Next time you see an advert for a skin cream boasting something like: 'Now with added olive oil', just ask
yourself what else is in it then? If it is only jollop and some olive oil, why not forget the jollop and just use
olive oil?
Try making your own dry skin products and see what a difference it makes!
